Just apply vacuume to the vacuum port. Draw up to 15 inches and let it sit. If it holds that's a good sign.
As for the other parts inside I suspect grease would be dried up, rubber might be dried out etc. worst case is you have to unbolt it and send it out.
Iirc Someone recently mentioned that newer 999 or 998 pans were an inch or maybe 2 deeper that the 60s 904 pans and the filter comes with the needed extension.

Personally I would not use the generic bushing kit.
Either have them professionally rebuilt OR buy new.
Alternately you could find good used right hand hinges. They typically get less ware. Flip the pin if you want but I would just install it and not worry
You can power the low voltage side with a USB charger.
Cut a non USB C cable open.
There typically is 2 heaver wires and some lighter wires insulate the lighter wires and use the heavy ones might be black and red.
