    Greetings from new member

Welcome chrisndave, I learned & got a lot more help here than at my local mopar club. There’s No stupid questions, and everyone is pretty helpful, ask away. Actually, I think I might have thrown out a few stupid questions,…..

Oil Rings, do I have a problem?

What is pig mat? And do you mind adding a photo, having a hard time picking up what you're putting down. Are you saying something in place of the small metal cover, or in addition to the cover?

Can't really say its wrong, but I probably would have laid a small jumper wire in the solder puddle. Probably the biggest thing you are fighting is making sure the copper trace on the board is really clean. Don't know or presume to know your soldering skills, but most people grasp the heat...

Oil Rings, do I have a problem?

I was trying to determine if there was an issue to address before I go through the process of reinstalling the engine & connecting everything back up & filling the fluids. Since I only drove it around a few streets in the neighborhood, I wasn't concentrating on the exhaust so much as noises &...

Oil Rings, do I have a problem?

The oil pan was off and engine covered with plastic. It seems to have been residual oil inside the block, maybe some of what was still up in the heads when I rolled it over. So, not much concern over the oil coming out of the cylinder?

Oil Rings, do I have a problem?

Somewhat new build, but been a few years, - The rest of the car took longer than expected and had a few unrelated setbacks. Anyway, after a few short drives in the neighborhood, the next morning there were a few oil drops coming from the inspection cover. I checked all the other options &...

Did you add a small piece of wire across your gaps, or just a solder bridge?

    Keeping her cool

Countless threads here over the years where someone's had cooling issues asking for help. Almost always has Electric fan(s), aluminum radiator, flat plate "shroud" and 160 thermostat, yet having overheat problems. Eventually after trying a bunch of things they will "try" what 6 or 7 people...

    Keeping her cool

As for the rest of the system, decide what the cars purpose is. Street car, or strictly drag? I would advise against electric fans and custom shrouds if you have any intention of street use. Sure, the OEMs do it, but They run at a temp much higher than most classic car people are comfortable...

    U-Haul car trailer experience?

Look the tie downs over carefully. If its a good sized dealer, they have parts in stock and can change it out. I did need to help the guy out, he wasn't the most mechanically inclined.

Getting fed up of high-perf , being happy with less

I just can't seem to get mine on the road, let alone be somewhat reliable. I started building it with the intent on strong performance, but not a racer, yet reliable enough to road trip occasionally. Right now I'd be tickled just to be able to take it to one of this weekend s car shows. Got it...

    42RH advice needed

@67Dart273 is the one that sent me the link for the 42RE class video, Thanks to him & that video-gave me the confidence to tackle my transmission. Just now getting it back on the road because of other unrelated family medical issues. I bought a small shop press at Northern Tool for this project...

    42RH advice needed

I can’t help you much with the diagnosis part, but if you determine it’s time for a rebuild, I found the following information helped me. I ordered the how to rebuild your 904 and 727 book by Tom Hand. Lots of good information on the forward part of the Transmission. As recommended by some...
