I've seen the car at Primm casino, along with the shirt and several other attractions. Kinda cool and morbid at the same time.

Is a deeper pan worth it?

I slammed mine on a manhole cover a couple years ago, hard enough that it broke the front u-joint, but only made a small scrape mark in the pan. I fully expected that pan to be cracked after the impact, but amazingly it was fine.

How old are you and how long have you raced

My 'oldmeter' just turned to 61 last month. Made my first pass in 1981 on an XS1100 Yamaha motorcycle, best I could do with a stiff headwind was 13.465 @ 105 ish mph. Didn't have anything worth racing until the mid 1990s when I got my second 1970 Dart together, running mid 15s with a .030 over...

Is a deeper pan worth it?

B&M makes a cast aluminum one that has a drain plug and is tough as nails. Check Summit racing.

Changing the rear quarters on my Dart conv. from a 69 to a 70

Maybe @STR-14 will give some of the details on what he did.

Elevated garden boxes I built for my mom, finished about 2 weeks ago. Finished these ones yesterday for my wife. She sanded all the wood on all 4 of them, then applied a water seal to help preserve them. Each one is made from 4 used pallets. They are lined with a layer of canvas to retain the...

    No more night shift.

I couldn't do those kinds of hours, would drive me completely bat **** crazy. I did a 4 on 4 off 12 hour shift 8 to 8 for about a year and a half, primarily days, but at one point I was vacation relief for the night shift and ended up doing 16 straight night shifts due to the untimely passing of...

Congratulations! They have obviously seen the hard work and dedication that you have shown, and now you are seeing some rewards for all of your effort. Great news man, you're going to be very effective in your new role, good luck!

    NHL 23-24

As expected, the Oilers blow out the Cats tonight, Bob gets the hook after giving up 5 on 17 shots. Watched about 2/3 of the game at my mom's house while we were there to celebrate Father's day with my step dad. No surprise at all that the Panthers want to raise the cup in front of their own...

Saw some farmers out cutting hay earlier this week, all that rain we had surely made a difference for them.

Yeah, two of them came out really nice, but the other three have had the paint peel off some of the spoke areas when I removed the masking. :BangHead: I will try to repair them with a brush, still have some silver paint left.

Not sure how this will go

I strongly suggest that you measure everything before you buy anything. In 50 plus years of it's existence there's no telling what may have been done to your engine and it's components. Be prepared to spend a lot of money getting it done right, but in doing so you can expect to get a lot of...

Well, two of the five wheels that I have been refinishing for the Ventura turned out pretty well. The other three, not so much, the masking kit peeled the paint off of the spoke areas. Disappointing for sure, but the instructions did warn of that possibility, maybe the heat of the last two days...

Looks great, much more 'correct' than the modern 16s that were on it.

    NHL 23-24

Oilers are not paying the price like the Panthers are willing to. If any coach in the NHL knows how to shut down McDavid and Draisaitil it's Paul Maurice. He was the Jets head coach when they swept the Oilers in the '20 playoffs. The Jets completely dominated that series, and shut down the...

    First Drag strip visit

My first trip to the drag strip was about 1975 or so with my asshole brother in his 71 Mach 1 Mustang at Keystone Dragway in Manitoba. Car had a 429 SCJ 4 speed and either 3.91 or 4.11 gears, with a Detroit locker, all factory. I practically begged him to race it but he wouldn't. I knew he raced...

Yes, it slides on the little round nib on the top. Likely the wire that is right beside it.
