I've done a lot of simple things on the car. I've got an original 66 Mopar manual that I've used often when I've got questions. The front end work is something I don't believe I can handle by myself.

From what I can gather from the posts the breather has to be there but the filtering is questionable. I'll have to pull it off and inspect the condition.
I was thinking of changing current air cleaner to something newer (chromed?). What to do with the connection to the air breather on the valve cover?
Do I need that connection?
I don't know if this will help but I've attached info on the headliner from my 66 Plymouth shop manual. Without seeing the color codes on the listing wires it will be tough to figure out the correct order of placement. I did my best at installation without removing the front and back windows but...
