Signs you're getting old for Classic Car Owners

Added tail pipes and then even resonators to one car and I am adding tail pipes to another car because they are just getting too loud to drive as much as I do. I must be getting old.... However, my other car with mufflers even is louder than most open header cars. I not changing that car, yet.

Who else USED TO wrench outside?

We used to all the time as kids. In the winter time we would use a buddies Dad's kerosene torpedo heater to blow on us while we worked on things even in the snow. Now in my 50's I still do most of my side jobs in the driveway, but now I have an insulated, heated and air conditioned garage to...

What Are You Doing/Have You Done To Shed Weight?

I have one of those cheap and fun cars also. The Road Runner was free. Saved it out of a field from going to the junk yard. Slapped it together with whatever parts I had laying around. Now a sleeper. Built 383 with 2 stage 125/250 plate, built trans w/10" 3200 converter, 4:88 w/spool and widen...

Street Freaks, Customs, Rods, Street Machines...60's 70's 80's

So many cool pictures. These are all before my time. However, these pictures are the times that left such an impression on all of us and why so many of these cars have been saved and exist today. I save every old car that I can.

The 70's street freaks and pro stock era cars are what inspired me to build my Challenger the way I did with a modern twist.

77 Dodge Class C motorhome engine removal

I made the mistake of picking up motorhome for the 440 and trans. Even with the title I could not get any scrap yard to take it. I couldn't give it away. I wound up spending an entire weekend and cutting it up into a million pieces.

Steve, Oldmanmopar is right, "real trucks don't have sparkplugs"

I would agree in most cases but costs. I bet most diesel owners spend more in a year on maintainence on their diesels (at least all my buddies do) than I have spent in 22 years of ownership of my old trusty V10 Ram. Still is 95+% all original, even still the original spark plugs. All 10 of them...
