What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

The last couple weeks have been busy on the couple days off my buddy gets each week. I'm semi retired, but since he's a mechanic, most automotive work around here gets done when he's off. First, we replaced the steering box on my 68 340 S vert. that required removal of the starter and dropping...

    Freddys not dead

I like Freddy's, but the closest Freddy's is an hour drive from me. That leaves Five Guys, Fosters, and Roy Rogers as the burger joint chains of choice in my area.

    1968 GTS conv 340

Mine is blue with a white top, but I believe it spent it's whole life with one family in New Jersey until I bought it.

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Went to lunch today with friends. We all brought out our green Mopars for St Patrick's Day (a few days early). Mine is the one in the middle. We got a table over looking the parking lot (best seats in the house!).

How much would you spend on it?

That was a pretty car when new. The paint color may not look good now, but maybe it'll buff out. The caved in quarter, not so much. There are virtually no reproduction C-body parts available. And that includes sheet metal. You say you don't need floors, but you can't even get decent repro floors...

    Cat Pics

D.C. the barn cat. When I bought my house, I found out at settlement that D.C., the barn cat conveyed. D.C. loved to help out on vehicle maintenance. That cat loved attention, but we had to regularly visit her at the barn, because she would seldom venture far from the barn. His/her age was...

    Best Vehicle Lift

I have a Rotary Asymmetrical 10,000lb lift (the one with the Barracuda). It gets frequent use and I have been very satisfied with it's performance. If I had to do it over again, I might have ordered the taller version of the same lift which would allow a little more clearance for a taller...

    My New Garage

Built my dream garage a few years ago. Drew out a workable layout on a napkin while brainstorming with a friend. Then built a 1/4"= 1' scale cutaway model using Arckit components and test fit with 1/43 scale diecast cars. I wanted a large usable garage, but it couldn't be metal...

    Camping at Carlisle?

I get that. But, with three long, hot, July days walking miles to cover every inch of Chrysler Carlisle, there's a certain appeal to having air conditioning and the comforts of home at the end of the day.

    Camping at Carlisle?

Camping on the grounds is pretty basic. You may have access to electricity but not water. There are a couple of bathrooms with showers on the fairgrounds, but don't know how close they would be to your campsite. There are a couple nearby campgrounds. Western Village campground in Carlisle is...
