Line lock help, it's making me crazy!

Solved the issue. I had swapped the rear tires from side to side before opening day. Just a habit I had gotten into over the years. Apparently these Goodyear tires, even though they don't have directional arrows on the sidewalls, are directional. First test run at Winterport Dragway this...

Line lock help, it's making me crazy!

believe me I'm tempted to do just that!

Line lock help, it's making me crazy!

It's certainly possible. I have a spare solenoid exactly the same as the one installed in the car. I'll double check to make sure it's not plumbed backwards.

Line lock help, it's making me crazy!

this was the way the car was built before I acquired it. The line lock is definitely plumbed into the front brakes. I'm fairly certain that the proportioning valve is plumbed in the rear brake line. My guess is the residual pressure valves in the front and rear brake lines may be having a effect.

Line lock help, it's making me crazy!

No it's not my first line lock. When I bought the car spring of last year the previous owner told me about the operation of the line lock. He said press the button and pump the brakes several times before starting your burn out. I said don't you have that backwards? Shouldn't you pump the...

Line lock help, it's making me crazy!

Hi all. I'm wondering if any one here has a similar set up to mine that I might draw some knowledge from. My 1976 Arrow (shown in the profile pic) has a full Alston chassis under the body. The Wilwood brake master cylinder is mounted under the driver side floor, attached to the frame rail...

    PTC converters switches hands

Yes, I agree Paul Forte is great! Season before last when I still had my 72 Dart I was having some problems with the 727 in it after have a transbrake valve body installed by an alleged TF guru down in Conneticut. Since I'm not real knowledgeable on the voodoo magic that occurs in auto trans I...

Solid rollers with off set push rod hole issue.

They do appear to be getting plenty of oil, but I am concerned about how close the intake pushrods are to the lifter bore wall with the offset lifter. That's got to be creating a bunch of side load on the lifter. On the 72 Dart I had previous I was running W2 heads with a solid roller cam, but...

    Edelbrock, TrickFlow rocker question

When I first pulled my intake I didn't catch the broken tie bars at first. When i was stuffing a towel into the lifter valley to catch debris from cleaning the intake area of the heads that's when I saw the first one, and I'm like "what the hell?" Then I checked the others and found the opposite...

    Edelbrock, TrickFlow rocker question

I got lucky as it appears nothing got into the engine.

    Edelbrock, TrickFlow rocker question

Could be the post I did last season when I had a HS rocker break on consecutive weekends, first was #3 exhaust, next week #4 exhaust broke. No apparent cause and Randy at HS told me that it was most likely due to them reaching the end of their service life. Had a friend who's a metallurgist do...

    More nonsense from NHRA Tech

The Tasca team sent the manifolds to Wilson to be flow tested. I guess Wilson media blasted them as part of their cleaning process but didn't make any dimensional changes to the runners, and both Tasca and NHRA Tech confirmed there were no dimensional changes, however the media blasting...

    More nonsense from NHRA Tech

I agree but NHRA Tech looked at his manifolds at Gainesville and said they were fine. Then at Charlotte they reject the same manifolds? If there had been a change of dimensions in the manifold runners I would completely agree with the disqualification. But that wasn’t the case. It was based...

    More nonsense from NHRA Tech

I found it to be complete nonsense what NHRA Tech tried to do to Bob Tasca this past weekend at the four wide race in Charlotte. Disqualify the 2nd round qualifying run because NHRA Tech didn't like the color of his intake manifold, which had been give NHRA Tech's blessing after Gainesville...
