if i remember correctly the later b body rears have a rubber mounting bracket to the leaf spring perch. right?

i'll be up next thursday with a trailer load of parts that i need to get rid of, most parts are Abody sheet metal, doors,hoods,trunk lids,.67 dart fenders. Also bring up my dads red 67 satellite for the show , last time it was up there was 2019 before he passed.

yeah probably what did it in. but it was easy to remove from lifter bore just pulled it out with a magnet thru the head/pushrod opening cam and lifters have been in the engine for 24 years and have not had any running issues at all until now

roller??? i'm sure that will be expensive. cam ,lifters,pushrods,rockers????? i enjoy just driving the car, I don't need more headaches to deal with.lol plus its all numbers matching and wont be beating on it.

YEP i know if its not one thing its another.... i looked at oil and didn't see any shiny metal in it so its gotta be okay...lol when car started with the miss i was 3 miles from home so did not drive very far,but still damage was done...

i have used his paint for a few engines i've done and so far so good , i bought the quart cans to spray mine. works out best for me. yes it is expansive ,but hopefully it holds up longer than rattle can paint.

95 should have a 12 valve cummins 24 valve came out in late 98 or 99 trucks being a texas truck it would be rust free and worth doing a cab swap to get it back on the road, i guess at 76 years of age i probably wouldn't want to take on a cab swap either.

I would put a different cab on it and drive it not that hard to do a cab swap

problem solved!! did more testing, and found if i blocked #4 injector line off the truck would start right up, did this to all cylinders and tried starting after each injector was blocked, truck would not start until #4 was blocked off, ordered all new injectors,connecting tubes,and fuel lines...

no glow plugs cummins use a intake heater, which is new .

ok guys i did some more testing and found if i block off fuel lines to injectors individually when i get to number 4 injector the truck starts like it should.when its blocked off so im trying to decide on what injector kits to buy???? probably should replace all 6 injectors, but dang they are...

hi, i have not used ether to try and start it, yes i use the blended fuel and have not had any problems with jelling. this weekend i put a new heater grid in on saturday sunday morning it was 30 degrees ,truck was not plugged in and it cranked for20 seconds and started up, i was surprised!

hi, thanks for the reply, i had one prv on another engine that i swapped to mine and it did not change the no start, but i don't know if that prv was a known good part i swapped. ill check it out tomorrow,by cracking the line while cranking and see if i have fuel coming out. thanks
