440 sump question

I was wondering if any one can help,I have a 68 barracuda origionally a 318 car.And want to put a 440 in it what sumps fit only A body ,or will a charger one fit? Also should I run solid engine mounts?

All help appreciated!

I believe '67-69 C body pans will work. I think they are stamped "187" in the bottom. They have a small kind of ear shaped indent on the pass side behind the sump for the idler arm to clear when it sweeps.

You`ll have to use a center sump. Moper`s right ,you can use some C-body pans like the 187 and 699 that have the relief for the idler arm, or the 402 will work if you notch the K-member on the right front pan area. If you can find the 893 pan you`ll be in like Flynn, because they were used on the originals. Solid mounts are a matter of preference but they will transfer a lot of vibration into the cabin.
