440 question

Theres a guy wanting to sell me a 440. He doesn't know what year it is or what it came out of, but he said its locked up "the motor". He wants to sell it for a 100 bucks. What do yall think i should do?

I think that he should give you the engine and if anything is salvageable then pay for it.

What BJR said. Pull a head, look close at the pan for signs of dents from the inside out, pull the pan and look..Always assume it's junk until proven otherwise if they cant tell you anything about it.
