Seal replacement--or replace power steering gearbox?

Hello Gang,

Here's a question....As everyone here knows, I have a '68 Valiant 100 4 door sedan. I had the power steering pump replaced last year after it went. I seem to have a leak coming from the power steering gearbox itself. Is it an easy fix to replace the seals, or just replace the entire gearbox? I seem to go through about a 1/4 of a bottle of power steering fluid about every 2 1/2 to 3 weeks. When I had the power steering pump replaced, I had the upper pressure hose replaced as well. Any input would be greatly appreciated...Thanks again. Brian Carotenuto :(

Find out exactly where the leak is coming from. Recheck the hoses and if the leak started when you had the pump and hose changed, make sure its not a faulty hose or installation.

Try puttting 2 cap fulls of brake fluid in the ps. This should soften the seals. Stopped my dart from a pint a week to nothing. Jon
