Was it mounted horizontal or vertical ?
Anyway replace it with the marine one.
Same coil except filled with epoxy, can't , won't leak.
Also withstands high vibration.
It can be mounted in any possition

Coils will leak if they get overheated, it boils the oil and as it expands it will break the seal.

So why are you using a High Band coil? Are you running a CD ignition system, like an MSD or Hi-6?

They work fine with a CD ignition system.

You'll need to replace it

I believe they run about $40.00 90 Day Warranty

FBO Coil $40.00 2 year warranty :-))
