Later model bucket seats in early A's

I am a officially a bench seat kind of guy. But I came to the conclusion using an aftermarket shifter in my '64 Valiant is going to require buckets to work with any comfort. (for me anyway)
What later model seat and track combos has any one run with success?

Thanks!

the floors will need new holes drilled for buckets.

I replaced the carpet in my Signet this spring,
there were 4 old holes with "seam sealer" putty in them,
in the spots a Bench seat would have been.

It seems the body came with the holes predrilled/stamped for a bench seat.

Use whatever you like, the Signet buckets are Very wide.

im sure you can get a auto shifter to wok with ur bench seat, we just did in a 1974 scamp new hurst shifter,,with lever to unlock handle,,plenty of room,,some shifters are to long to use with a bench seat,,

but to answer your question,, i use a set of 1972 cuda buckest seats in my 66 baracuda,, i used the 66 seat brackets,,fit nice if i rememebr did it a looong time ago,,,but think im going to go back to the correct period seats,,,

I have front and back seats and console out a 2005 Grand Prix in my 65 Dart. I welded up some brackets drilled holes in the floor, and also made some steel plates for the floor so the seats can't pull through the thin sheet metal in the event of an accident

Those look like a nice fit and 21st century comfortable...LOL.
I noticed you have one of those Sun/Summit thin tachs. How do you like it? Summit has them on sale and was considering one, but I don't have any feed back on the quality of them.

Thanks!

The Seats are very comfortable, the drivers seat is power :) I like the summit tach I needed something thin, and it fits perfect. I wish I would have gotten the black face and not the white as it is really bright at night. Otherwise well worth the $75.00 I paid for it.

I like a shifter up high and not be reaching down or way forward. This was my shifter stand I built for a Coronet wagon I used to own. Being a rachet shifter there was not much throw to the lever. I Plan on a Turbo Action shifter for the Valiant. The T/A goes way forward for park.

My Dart had incorect seats (chevy) in it when I bought it which have been replaced with Leather buckets from a 01 Sebring Coupe there verry nice & will be in there till I find the corect bench for the car.
