Well, I did replace the radio antenna and added a 5 point harness on the passenger side, and also did an 11.75 BBP disc swap. Other than that, it's his old car.

Has a magnum headed 360 10.25:1 dual plane RB 230@.050 .512 lift (1.6 rockers) 107c/l, 727 with 166K mopar converter, 650 speed demon, SS 002/003 springs, 3.55 sure grip with G60X15 American racer DOT tire. Best 60' time 1.81 a little left to drop the ET with not fully on converter when leaving (~ 2200 rpm leave will stall to 2400) Idles at 13" manifold vacuum and 750 rpm in gear...

I have just registered on the site.
I have got a 69 Dart GTS with a 440 auto which should be on the strip this coming year and a 66 Fury 383 daily driver.
I realise this is off thread but i wanted to ask Greg if there used to be a drag strip in Minnesota which is now a golf course.
The reason i am asking is my cousin used to race there in the early 70's.
He ran a Chevelle with a 427 4 speed in B Modified and his name is Vernon Foyt, he lived in Coon Rapids then. Any info would be appreciated.

The best run that I've made so far is a 14.55 @ 96. Motor has an edelbrock rpm air-gap and 750 carb., tti headers, racer brown cam (.460/.264), '69 X heads, and MP electronic ignition conversion. That was with the 3.23 gears and a 8 3/4 posi. 4.10's and a set of heads would help alot. Here is my 2 cents.

not a bad ET, considering its a 318 with those high gears. is the motor stock?

No the engine has a .060 overbore with 10.5 to 1 compression stock ported and polished heads and a big cam. I dont really like the carb on it, its a 600 cfm edelbrock, i have it tuned pretty well but i am wanting to try out a 750 demon, i think i can pick up a few hp that way. sweet 68 man i love the way they look, you gonna buy a kiesler 5 speed?

^^ 750 might be to mush for the 318 i just got a 650 an its sweet right on tap

yah i want a keisler but now im considering just a regular a833 4 speed, i saw a lot at spring fling for reasonable prices, the keisler is gonna cost so much i can use the money i save for a supercharger or something

15.608 at 88.97 with a 60 of 2.449, I was babying it, but, we were messing with the car the whole time, but today was just time trials, I'll be racing tomorrow. I feel the 318 has a lil bit more but we'll see.

New best for my son in his Dart. 11.59 @ 116.97.
Its a .030 over 400 mild street car. New best 60 of 1.61 but that was last week when it was hooking better in lousy air. The 11.59 was only a 1.67 60 ft but it was good air. Wish they would have treated the track yesterday. Ron

My best et was so long ago. 73 4 speed 340 Callenger with a/c and 3/23 gears.
Daily driver Bone stock and left a 71 chevelle in my J stock class two cars by half track and ran a 9.02. Can you say, Deep stage 00. Ok I got a good light.
The chebby guys had to lift my hood and look for headers that was not there.
102 octane at around 41 degree's sure makes a difference! back in the day!
Jerry Mirer's took me for a pass as a passenger in a 6.50 1/8 mile car a 69 440 barracuda.

I have a freash short block, changed cams to a Hughes 5256AS solid, changed headers to 1 3/4 Hookers, changed convertors to a Dynamic 9 1/2, best ET so far is 11.84 @ 111 MPH!

Forgot all about this thread. Took the Duster to the track back
in april. Got about 4 passes. The best was a 12.93 at 105.
Went up for the 5th pass and broke the front U joint and slip
yoke. Haven't been back at all this year. Put the old trans back
in to go through the good one. Still have to check the overrun
clutch. Hope I didn't hurt it. At least I finally got my 12 sec.
pass. Hope to go faster next year.

Finally, 11.98 @ 113. 1.75 60 ft. Only 1 run. Lost the alternator pulley on the run, and blew out front oil pan gasket. MAJOR crankcase pressure, installing evac system next and will update.

First time down 12.99 at 107. My 3.23's just ain't cutting it. 408 stroker eddy head small block 727 turning 4500 through the traps. Need more gear, then more tire. Reaction time was 1.5 seconds. That's right one and a half seconds. They forgot to tell me they ran a pro tree. I stage the car,look down at the tach, look up, Hey how long has that green light been on? and where's he going? DOH was fun though.

Ran a 7.03 in the 1/8th shifting @ 6,500 my 60 foot was a 1.5 something. Every pass it was going faster. It jumps sideways outta the hole and spins a little then scoots. It will be at monster mopar running the quarter fully broken in. Hoping for 10.50's

Stock lower end,60 over,home ported head with a little bigger valves,stock valve train,100 off head,85 off block,10.7 compression,erson 270-280 cam,465 lift,600 Holley,headers and msd,456 gears.Car is a 62 Valiant chop top that I have down to 2475 with me in it.Just went 8.12 at 83 with a 1.67 60 ft two nights ago.Car is close to a second quicker than I thought it would be.197 rear wheel hp.I really think I was just lucky on my first time out combo, I am not that smart,just got lucky and addicted.New motor on the stand will be closer to 300hp.I now want to get into the 11s,all motor,Guzzi Mark

I think the trap rpm was like 5600, didn't have a tach but ran it through a formula of tire/gear/final drive/mph.

Now that I have a 410ci stroker, I'll probably run a lot faster with less gear and the same pizza cutters.lol

Last time I was out, the car ran:

13.869 @ 99.71 MPH with a 2.00 60ft

Found out just over the past week or so that this was run on just the primaries (secondaries weren't opening) and a distributor with screwed up mechanical advance (stuck!), which is beyond repair.

I've swapped out the vac sec carb for a DP and my new dizzy shows up tomorrow. Hoping to take it out again on Sunday.

11.18 @ 117.99 mph last saturday nite @ ThunderValley, Marion, SD.

11.20 1960 galaxy, 390 ci, with some 406 parts. So dump on me; broke, can't get the 70 Duster on the road. But I had to be making serious hp, with that tank. (1969). lol

Best ET so far was a 14.8 @ 96 MPH. This was years ago, but once I get it back together I am hoping for mid 13's. That won't have a chance of happening until next year sadly.

10.98 @ 121 mph with a 1.56 60ft

11.54 @ 115.5mph 1.66 60' time No N2O, BFG Drag radials, and 4.10s

318/390 stroker - 12.39 @ 110 MPH - 1.80 60ft - 3650lbs - 3.89s
