New Feature... Thanks Button

You'll now start seeing this button in posts...

(I am currently getting a button made to better match the site)

Click it when you want to thank someone for their post.

There are some limitations...

You have to have 25 posts to thank people;
You can only give 10 thanks per day
Thanks are not available in the politics forum
I may change it more as I see how it works out...

Anyway -- I thought it would be nice to have this. You can also see how many thanks a person has in their profile and under their username in posts as well as how many thanks they have given

On a related issue, the smilies on the right when we post a message.
Is there a way to edit the group that shows up over there? I have to click the [More] and scroll through a big group to find the ones I usually use.

Sounds cool to me, and yes C I agree about the smilies. There's gonna be so much thanking going an around here, it's gonna sound like the Looney Tunes cartoon with those two gophers who are always so polite and proper.

I just thought you'd add a "thanks" smilie quick list that pops up on the -go advanced- reply feature. The smilies that show there on the first quick list screen aren't very useful and sort of oddball. You have to go to the -more- screen to get to ones most people would use.

An "I agree" smilie on the first screen would be very helpfull too. Here's a list of smilies that are used a lot more than the current ones on that first screen:

Joey, can you just rearrange what smilies show on the quick list on the reply screen? Smilies are very helpful to explain your emotions and meanings which keep people from getting all pissed off at each other. And that makes for a stronger site.
