Jack, Keep up the good work, Im still trying to find how I attach a pic on this site.

Try this Scott, it's from Adam's post on how to post a pic.

go to photoisland.com ( or any other photo hosting site) and register. It's free.

Then upload your photo's there. It's easy.

Click on the photo you want to post and it will enlarge. Go to the lower left part of your screen and click on "link for auction" it will pull up a box and then click the highlight button. The address of the picture will turn blue. Right click your mouse and then click copy.

Now open another browser to here and start your thread. When you are ready to put your pic in type this.

[ img]PASTE YOUR PIC[/ img]

Now do not leave any spaces in anything. To paste just right click the mouse again and hit paste.

Done

Hello Guys
Iam new to this site and I own a 65 cuda with 273 commando Formula S model and Iam out ina town called Abbotsford B.C on the west coast. I hope some one out there or out here can help me find a 273 4 barrel intake and the commando valve covers for my ride. some one decided they needed them more than I do and took mine. so Iam on the hunt for replacements. all the best to you all in the new year :thumrigh:

Hello, welcome. I,m in Castlegar. I have a 68 340s notch that is pretty much done, still tweaking. My dash is in Van right now at CV platers. I purchased a 70 340 Swinger about 6 months ago but have not started to tear it down yet, no room.
As far as your parts go, check out Northern mopars web site (Calgary) They have a large buy and sell section, you may get lucky. I'll pass the word around our club also.
You will like the board, good bunch, lots of mopar knowledge.

Dave from Smithville Ontario, (between Hamilton and Niagara Falls )1968 Fastback Barracuda 383. We have had this unit since 1985, boought it in Atlanta, actually traded a 340 6 pak intake for it.
There are lots of Mopars up around Collingwood. I remember going to a wrecking yard up there a number of years ago and there was a Superbird sitting in the parking lot. A fellow who worked at the yard was driving it. Also My uncle in Barrie has a 70 RR ,Lemon Twist Yellow that he bought brand new.Check out thie link below, it is a fellows 1969 Swinger from Collingwood. This guy grew up in Grimsby, I knew him, he had a few Darts then . Most were a little rough. But boy he sure did a sweet job fixing up this one. It's a beauty, Mod Top and all. I have seen this car at Moparfest. It is awesome.

I'm in Ottawa too, '65 Formula S Barracuda. I've had it since 1999. It's originally a California car and pretty clean, but needs paint and some TLC. I just enjoy it too much to take it all apart!

Commando motor is missing, has a garden variety 273 in it right now, but a 1970 340 is on a stand in my garage in the works!

Still looking for a decent 8 3/4" small bolt pattern a-body rear end locally...anyone?

I've seen Pressedham's '68 Barracuda (at least I think I did, at the Evolution of Wheels event?) it's pretty nice. There is another one in Ottawa, but it's sitting in a field rotting....actually I think the owner finally moved it to a garage, but it's in need of a lot of stuff.

Who you calling old, I'm not the one retired actually I will be in 2 years. As far as shine goes that's what 3 coats of clear gets you (kind of hard on the eyes in the sun). This puppy's my first A body but compared to the 3 B bodies I did in the past this things a hoot. Hell, the old lady even likes it until it sees a Mustang and the Demon comes alive. There is no better feeling than pulling up beside one of those tangs, a rumbling and a shaking, and blow it off. About then is when I get slapped by the misses but it's a good slap. PressedHam: the '68 Barracuda has moved. The guy moved and took it with him, surprisingly! So after 25 years of sitting, he finally moved it. Don't know where it is now.

There's a guy about 1 hour past Montreal, Sylvain Gaucher (his dad was known as the Shark) who's got about 100 mopars for parts in his yard. He's got a nice blue 68, complete except for steering wheel (I'm surprised nobody has ever stripped this thing yet?). I saw it just about a month ago while I visited him for something else. My friend Tom bought an a-body torsion bar crossmember from him.

I have not seen a blue '67 Barracuda around here in Ottawa. Where is it?

Good question! When I had the car, it suffered from an engine compartment fire which really just melted the fiberglass hood and torched the wiring harnesses. An easy fix but my insurance company wrote it off. An older guy in Ottawa bought it out of Arnprior Auto Wreckers and fixed it up with new wiring, the original steel hood (that I'd sold to Ian King out in Kemptville) and a set of fenderwell headers to help the 440 breathe. Gil said he saw it around town as recently as 2 years ago but didn't see it at all last summer. Perhaps it left town? Regardless, there's an RB powered B5 blue 67 fastback running around 'somewhere' assuming that it's not just resting in the current owner's garage or barn.

I need to A) get a new batt. and B) find a Mopar know it all guy to mentor me a little, I'm long on desire but short on practical experience. My previous hookup on car skills moved out of town and we didn't stay in touch, he actually moved back but I haven't talked to him since then.

I'm in London.

There is one more Dart in Winnipeg, a 68 GT to be exact, I bought it years ago in Woodlands and it has since been a "work in progress".

It was just a plain jain 68 GT 2dr HT 273, auto. I am converting it to big bolt pattern (disc brakes and 8 3/4 rear)

It is currently on a rotissery getting cleaned and new sheetmetal.
Lots of work to do yet.

I had planned on getting it done before I had kids, but that didn't happen!

I might post some pics later.

Howdee from Winnipeg, Manitoba......eh? American's like that "eh" stuff and it kind if sticks on us Canucks just like "how you all doing" does on a Texan. I'm doing a rotisserie restoration on a matching numbers 1970 Dart Swinger 340 with buckets, console, rally dash, power steering, and brakes. I just finished another one in banana yellow and sold it to my friend Jamie. Just last week he tried out a maximum top end run on a controlled race track and the 727 tranny blew some internal parts and shredded the case and siezed which caused the front drive shaft yoke to snap which caused the drive shaft to drop. Expenses were $150.00 for a tow truck, $1,600.00 on a new tranny, $25.00 for a drive shaft loop, and $6.00 on a pair of new underwear after the scare! Priceless!!!! :butthead:
Here are two pics of the car. I have a Dart Swinger restoration web site that show restoration pics and other stuff. www.mts.net/~hpokrant

Hartman.. I bumped into your car (not literally) about a month ago in the parking lot of the vendor on Pembina & Jubilee. Not sure if it was you, or your bud driving, but stopped for a quick hello. What caught my eye was that it is a restored version of one of my projects! Even snapped a couple of pics of it when it headed south down Dunkirk lol.. Really wanted to see it. Looked SWEET!

im seth, where to start, i live near Saskatoon i wont say exactly..no offense to anyone.. iv owned my Plymouth duster for 5 years now, it was a 225 super six, and now she houses a stock 383 4bbl from a 69 Newport, and only have approx 1000 miles on her since finishing it last spring.. some of you guys out there may be cringing but, these are my only wheels, and in my opinion its a car and it deserves to be driven...and hey it can always be rebuilt somewhere down the road in the future right?? i don't mean bagging it around everywhere but normal wear and tear.. i also understand why some of you guys restore cars and, drive them to a minimum,:angel11: but thats not my thing...:brave: hope you like21909

Hello Folks,
I am from south eastern Saskatchewan.
Unfortunately, I don't have any finished A Bodies to share with you.....only projects
Below is my numbers matching 1971 340 Duster,my wife's 1970 Duster / 6 auto(soon to be a 340 5 speed) on the rotisserie and my latest find, a 1972 340 4 speed Demon rolling chassis. The tor-red Duster will be the last one to work on. I'm committed to finishing the wife's Duster first. My wife said she can't remember asking for a Duster:scratch:.......She says by calling it "Her Duster" it's a guilt free way for me to have more than one A body, The Demon, she informs me, better be the last one!!!!!!!

'69 Dart GT, originaly a /6 car. Now with a 360, and in need of a rear-end, preferably a nice 8"3/4, as it still has the 7"1/4. Its a bit of a heap, runs like crap... But i'm confident that i've got the skills to get er workin well for summer! Other then that, i do plan on painting it red, (no not the stock F5 or watever it is...) Just a nice viper red, or close to. That and a customized white bumblebee stripe.

Great Looking Dart. I am thinking about how I will eventually paint my Swinger, specifically the paint scheme on the hood and scoops. I was wondering if you could post a few more pics of your car, especially the hood area and back end. I really like the look you have on yours.

i do, but i was looking on ebay and found a cool intake that takes 4 two barrel carbs, a little pricey, but would still be neat

Well i'm hope to stay in the central alberta area, its still a lil up in the air. I really just wanna drive er this summer, so i prolly won't be doin anything soon. Well i was having some timing issues, but i got it all sorted out...its really odd that the timing mark is off...by like 40 degrees, but she sounds just fine, so i won't complain. All i have is an elecrical issue in the control cluster, and my speedo don't work. other than that... Shes a dream. lol

lol my timing was out by 40 deg too, but she ran really good there, when we put her back to the 5-7 degres advance she ran like crap, and needed to be advanced again...just watch for a pinging in your engine if its too advanced...i know a wreaker in saskatoon that has a ton of abod rears but their all 8 1/4 for 200 bucks however i looked for some lower gears llike 3.55 3.73 ect and all that they really had was realy high hiway gears in the 2's, you'll figure out ur bugs, i have wiring issues with my engine and its driving me up the wall...slowly figuring it out... youll figure your stuff out, oh btw i got my rear near brooks from flatlaw auto wreakers a couple years ago when i was still in strathmore, you can try there but if hes open still ittl prob be around 500 bucks...have fun and good luck

anyone going to be doing any cruise ins or anything. I know A&W will have the Thursday night car shows again. Hope to make it out with my 440 duster this summer.

My first dodge was a 1973 dart sport 340 4spd. Bought it with a 360, but I found a 340 and put it in it. Here is its pic
http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh183/Mrtires24/Duster001.jpg

I have had lots of cars come and go, but I am proud to say that I still have that one.

Next is my 1972 demon 318 4 spd proj. Just sitting right now, but I will get to her

and here is what I am currrently working on. 1970 duster 440 4spd posi :burnout:. I am HOPING to have the car completed for my wedding this July 2008. I have ran into some problems, but this site has really helped with that. hopefully I will have it running by mid to late aPril, then drivable no later than begining of June. I will still have to get it inspected because it is a US car. You can follow its completion under a forum called 1970 duster 440 4spd 8 3/4 posi.
I may need a hand here and there.
this is not a current pic of it. this is a pic of it on the trailer when I bought it. If you want to see more pics just go to the forum above.
