70 Dart leafs moved in with 3" kit. No tubs but inside well hammered with 3lb mini sledge. Outside lip shaved. Wheel 8x15 with 5" backspace. 29.5x9x15 E.T. drag slick. Hooks so well it bogs the motor. Need more motor.

This thread needs pics. Some people say a tire fits as long as the body doesn't hit it.

Limit your suspension movement and get the body up and any width will fit as long as you don't mind the tires sticking out the side.

I think the year and body style definitely needs to be part of this. A 63 Dart is far different than a 73 Dart Sport.

All these sizes are making me crazy. I have a swinger and moved my springs in under the frame. Currently I have a set of 15 x 8 with 4.5 back spacing with a meager225/70 but they are close to the wheel well lip. i roled them to be safe because it was super tight. I would like to run a 275 on there but I would have to really add to the back spacing to get them in there. How are you guys running a 275? Maybe I have a wider brake hub that I am not aware of because the 4.5 BS on that 225 70 I have is already slamming me to the wheel lip. Plenty of room to go back but it would leave me with no front space. suggestions?

Ok so I'm new to all of this. I recently got a 67 Dart and am currently working to get it on the road. I am looking for new rims to accommodate 16" tires. They have a relatively low profile so hitting the wells isn't an issue. I don't have a lot of dough for the project just yet, but I need it as a runner. The rims that the tires are on now is from a 98 Cavalier (piece of crap I'm getting rid of...)that happens to have the same bolt pattern as the Dart, the problem to just transfer them over is the offset. Does anybody know a company in Canada that may sell rims for older cars and that has a reference/catalogue to solve the sizing issue? Or better yet does anybody know of a car model that has the same bolt pattern (5x4.5) that is current enough (1983+) that I could reference some simple steel rims for the 16" tires? Thanks for the help guys, love the site!
