I'm starting to put together my shopping list. First & foremost, I need a cam and lifters. I was reffered to Scott Brown, as I've heard his stuff is quality. Any recommendations? Is the 248/260H a good cam for the street, or should I go with the 240/252H?

For those who don't know my combo, it's a MP 9.5:1 short block w/ ported X heads, 6Bbl, full MSD ignition, 4 spd. w/ 4.10's in a `68 B`cuda. The car is a toy, NOT a daily driver. I can care less about fuel economy, but I do want to drive it.
Post away! :thumleft:

Call Jim @ Racer Brown 410 866-7660 @ 2 PM Eastern.
You will talk to a 1 man shop. Racer brown developed all the early Mopar cams. This guy really nows his combos. Just take a few to talk your car to him. He will ask all kinds of Q's of you.
His cams are affordable, they dont need to be degreed in, just line up the dots.

I'd go with the Comp Cams XE 268. I have that cam, Comp Cams recommended springs, Edlebrock Air Gap intake, 1 5/8 inch headers and a 750 CFM Edlebrock carb. This combo (with an 800 CFM Edlebrock carb instead) made 392 HP in a Mopar Muscle Magazine article a few years ago. So I figure I'm at about 370 HP with the smaller carb. It makes for an awsome 340. Very nice idle; with enough lope to know it isn't stock. I am in the process of changing over from an automatic to a 4-speed now (not a job for the week hearted), but I installed a Mopar Performance 2400 RPM stall converter. The stock converter (unknown variety) caused a slight hesitation. This combo will scald the tires, yet be reliable. PS I have 3.55 gears. I can scan the article and Email it to you, if you'd like.
