Rallye dash pics

I just about finishes up my rallye dash. I scored this at English for $25 and its getting a low buck make over.

This thing had so much paint on it, it wasn't funny.

I smoothed it out and painted it all black and let it dry for a week.

Then it all was masked off (took an hour just to tape it all)

and I spayed the chrome with some bumper paint. Its not perfect but its way better then it look and 200% better then the one in the car now.

By the way. An autometer 2 guage panel fits perfectly were the ash tray goes. I need to stop smoking anyway. :D

Fastback, what specific color did you do the silver with? My chrome needs a refresh and not sure what to use.

looks great, nice job. by the way what kind of guitar is in back groud. i've been playing for 36 years.

Shg340. I used bumper chrome paint for the chrome and trim black for the black parts.

Onehellofadart- Ive got a bunch of guitars. my favorites are Schectors. They play good sound good and are cheap. I also have an Ibanez and a LesPual Studio

I just watched an Ebay auction the other day for "JUST" the bezel portion of a ralleye cluster...no gauges or harness. It sold for $107.50!! When will this madness end?!?!? :x :x :x

It's NOT gonna end if people keep paying these prices. It'll just get worse!

I tried to get one of ebay for months. I wouldnt pay over $100 for a complete dash. I got lucky the guy that had this one didnt want to bring it home.

It'll end when Year One, or one of the other restoration guys ever gets smart and starts making the duster Rally dashes and Shark tooth grills and sells them at a FAIR price. The Company that does this will make a killing! Hell, I'll buy two of each myself.
Has anyone heard of any company that does remake either of these?? I've looked but haven't seen anything yet.
