setting float level Holley carb

Is there a way I can bench set the float level so I dont get fuel all over the place when I bolt the carb up. Last time it was way to high and poured everywere.

With the bowl off the carb, I set the float parallel to the top of the bowl while holding it upside down. Then I go a full turn IN to lower the float. Once on the car, I turn on the electric pump and raise it slowly until it's at the bottom of the site-plug.
