New Manual Reverse Valve Body?

Hey Chris,

We talked last Thursday night in the chat room. You were wondering about the TCI valve body I purchased. It has a TCI part number of 121700. No where does it say it has low band apply. Is there something other than that I should look for in the instructions to find out if it is low band apply?

Thanks

Jack

Does it say anything about engine breaking in 1st gear ?

No, nothing like that. It does talk about the 1-2 accumulator spring. These are only installation instructions.

Hey Jack,

I am not super familiar with the TCI valve bodies but, I don't see anything on their site that would suggest that valve body is applying the L/R band in first. I am guessing its not.

I'll do some more checkin and get back atcha!

I sent off an email to them. I guess we are going to find out one way or another as long as they answer. LOL

Hi Jack,

I called TCI. As per "Scotty", that valve body 121700 does not apply the Low/Reverse band in 1st gear.

OK, I will see if my supplier will take it back. I'll have my fingers crossed.

I will get back to you on it Chris.

Thanks

Jack
