Website Downtime

My apologies for our recent downtime.

We have moved to a new server and there are a few kinks to be worked out.

Ok no problem Was wondering what was going on. Was starting to have withdrawls, but am better now.......Keep up the good work you do for this great site

Well, not to worry, not the computer. OUR server got a little hinky is all. We're trying to figure out why now.

Off topic....anybody else work all day on their car and still smell the hot engine and the grease hours after you have worked on it. I mean, even after showering and using your favorite soap (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&pwst=1&sa=X&oi=spell&resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=hand+soap&spell=1) and/or body wash?

I have this stench that just won't go away. It's the smell of a dormant 10 year old motor heating up for the first time since it was last parked.....The smell won't leave me.

Anyway, glad the site is back. ;)

But yea, when I was a young pup, I dumped a gear box load on one of my favorite T-shirts. I found out the hard way that gear oil smell does NOT wash out.

And speaking of the letter "T". I'll use an archaic term and admit to the "DTs" when the site was down.
Strange. I turned the compter on and had no were to go.

I'm sure glad it's back up and I feel normal again.

I got so cranky that my wife left and moved to another town. SERIOUSLY!

whew, I wanted to tell everybody I am getting a 440 and trans last night and couldnt. I was excited when my budy called me about it and then I couldnt get on hear I was like "WTF". thought my computor was having glitches again

I was going through withdrawals too..Thanks for providing a great site.

i experienced withdrawals as well but i will go through those anytime if it means required improvements for my favorite and most visited site. i love this place..thanks for providing it.

I just got home and had to check to see if the site was up. I thought it was my computer. Withdrawal!!:happy2:

He said his computer went to hell allso. He was wondering if it was something in his computer that gave us this problem. It was in jokes thread! under, Do you think you know every thing.

My wife is still gone since the first time the site went down!

Long story short... I dont know.

There is some king of bug or glitch in the server software that is causing this. I thought we had it fixed, but -- nope. :) So we're still trying to track it down.

I thought perhaps some hacker had had thier way with the sight.I really just recently came back after a long absence and was very much enjoying the sight.Great people,excellent info,cool sight,etc etc...

Am greatly relieved it is back!Have been checking frequently for it!

I appreciate the site and can appreciate the hard work to run a large site, been there done that. Thanks for the hard work and patience. A little message posted at the top of the home page or a mass email explaining things would be nice though.

When I ran a large site I had a very small MIRROR SITE on a different server at a different URL that I would update if the main site was down, just so people could know what was going on. The mirror site was well advertised so everyone knew to go there should there be problems, in fact I had a link in the top menu so you could always get there.

Communicating with us is always a nice way to prove your love. :-) Thanks.

Good job getting it up running again Joey. Good thing you got it when you did. I think alot of us were going into withdrawls.:shaking2:

Moparnuts is nothing about Mopars. Yeah they each might own one but that is about it. They don't talk about the hobby, tech questions,etc. One member talks about her dog and that is it. Ask a tech question of any sort and you will have them all scratching their heads.

I used to go over there when I have gotten caught up on all the new posts here on FABO.
