Ballast Resistor

Just planted a new MP electronic ign. today in the fish... WOW!

The ballast res. that came with the kit has an ohm rating of 1.12.

The 'spare' i've had till now has a rating of 1.35.

Is this difference worth worrying about in a jam? :scratch:

I think you'll be fine in a jam. I run an MSD now so no more resister. Instead I should probably keep a spare 6AL in the glove box.

Adam, I thought ypu were running a FBO ignition. Or is it just the distributor?

Just the Dist and coil.

Just don't weld on the car with the box still in it.
I think that's what kills most of those boxes.

Yup you have to disconnect the battery when welding.
