Please clarify... I have a '74 Duster was /6 - small bolt drum brakes. I want to swap over to discs using those spindles that nobody agrees on. (You know, those F/M/J ones...) Anyway, I've gotten the LCAs with sway bar tabs and want to know if I can keep my UCAs or will the FMJ ones work as well.
Thanks for your time,

If it's a 74 it should already have the large bolt pattern.Last factory small lug was 72/73.

If you have a 74 with small bolt drums, someone must have taken the originals. You will need the 73-up a-body UCA.

The FMJ uppers are completely different. They are shaft mounted.

The upper control arms will need to be changed to a 73 and up disk brake ones with the larger upper ball joint. And while you are at it grab the spindles from the same a-body car. I use the fmj spindles on my duster circle track car to lower the roll center and improve the camber change curve but I had to change the mounting angle of the upper balljoint to keep the ball joint from bottoming out in its socket. So if you drive your car agressivelly you may run into problems with the taller spindle.
