Spring for Glass hood

Hi Guys

What kind of spring are you guys using for a glass hood. Thanks.

i use a liftof hood,

Im not to sure where to get them but i know u need a smaller spring,the new hood hood would get ripped a new one with the stock springs

There is a guy on BBD that sells them.

I have heard the springs off of a Daytona/Lebaron hood work well with a 'glass hood. I have a set for my new hood, but I haven't gotten around to installing them.

who sells a bolt on hood for the 67-69 darts?

I'd take the springs off and prop it up with a sawed off broom handle. :geek:

Actually, the gas pressurized struts woud be pretty cool.

A lift off hood makes engine work alot easier. Think about it.

My bolt on is from WS Racing Fiberglass. They make both flat and GTS style hoods with about any scoop you could want available.

AAR Quality Fiberglass He makes a very nice product, not much prep work on any of his pieces.

I used Plymouth Sundance spring they're almost half the width. I put about 2 1/2" of preload it's perfect in case somebody want to know. Have a good week-end.
