Central Alberta Members!walkintree 03-24-2008, 04:36 PM So just curious who is around the central ab area? demon seed 03-24-2008, 07:55 PM Hey I guess I'm southern but who gives a rats ass. Terry:burnout: walkintree 03-24-2008, 09:25 PM Lol, sure why not? Lmao. I like this; car, name and location! Yeehaw! http://photos-e.ak.facebook.com/photos-ak-sf2p/v192/158/55/529090400/n529090400_2301796_7432.jpg Cody Red Deer O, and i'm assuming thats a Demon... A very beautiful Demon, the Devil himself could be seduced. ;) demon seed 03-24-2008, 09:38 PM Yes tis a Demon to be sure but feeling friskier with the BB. There's a half dozen guys around on this forum that'll eventually wake up (like Leo) from their hibernation and chide in. Terry walkintree 03-24-2008, 09:40 PM Haha, good job...one day...one day, for now i'll just stick with my 360, any bigger and my mini rear-end will be havin a bad life. O i'm sure they shall, lol, they're just old and slow, i can't blame them. Bwahaha! demon seed 03-24-2008, 09:45 PM Haha, good job...one day...one day, for now i'll just stick with my 360, any bigger and my mini rear-end will be havin a bad life. O i'm sure they shall, lol, they're just old and slow, i can't blame them. Bwahaha! Yup, years ago I snapped the splined end off an 8 3/4 pinion gear on a Road Runner and it was pretty messy. To much weight, horses, traction and not enough strength. Terry CaleFox 03-24-2008, 10:00 PM Lethbridge, how is that for central alberta? walkintree 03-24-2008, 10:35 PM Yup, years ago I snapped the splined end off an 8 3/4 pinion gear on a Road Runner and it was pretty messy. To much weight, horses, traction and not enough strength. Terry Ahh, 8 3/4! hmm, no i've just gotta 7 1/4 open end...yea...that'll hurt one day. o well. I guess Lethbridge is close enough. Lol, at least theres snow in your pic. Lmao! 340duster 03-24-2008, 11:05 PM Are you talking central geographically, or population wise? If it is geographically I am from whitecourt. littleman66 03-24-2008, 11:13 PM Alberta is great but tell some of your alberta friends to stop coming to Saskatchewan because they are ruining our small town living with all these rigs showing up, not to mention the assholes with the lifted Fords walkintree 03-24-2008, 11:51 PM I'm pretty sure geographically...theres this area i know of a central alberta, red deer, lacombe, sylvan lake, kinda that general area. lol. But anywhere is welcome! And umm...not quite sure wat too say about small town sask. living...or lifted fords... demon seed 03-25-2008, 01:12 AM Alberta is great but tell some of your alberta friends to stop coming to Saskatchewan because they are ruining our small town living with all these rigs showing up, not to mention the assholes with the lifted Fords Sorry littleman but as far as I know none of my friends would want to go to Saskatchewan, seems you're missing some mountains. You can always send a nasty note to your Premier who's been doing his best to attract as many Albertans as possible but like most politicians he probably won't listen. Seems they've found some oil in the north of your proviince that they need help developing. LOL. Gotto love the oilmen. :evil2::evil2: Terry muller 03-25-2008, 06:27 AM i know i't not central alberta, but who cares http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v83/bmuller_gone/Photo_062907_009.jpg barry from coaldale 340duster 03-25-2008, 10:48 AM Alberta is great but tell some of your alberta friends to stop coming to Saskatchewan because they are ruining our small town living with all these rigs showing up, not to mention the assholes with the lifted Fords If you talk to the rig workers, likely about half of them are originally from Saskatchewan anyway (or newfoundland). I am originally from saskatchewan and moved here 15 years ago to find a good job. Alberta definetely had more to offer (at that time) than Sask. But things are likely to get much better in sask with the new govt, price of grain up, and oil development. Are lifted Cummins Dodges okay? Cause I drive one, must just be a problem with the ford guys!1 Just kidding around.... OldVart 03-25-2008, 03:31 PM "O i'm sure they shall, lol, they're just old and slow, i can't blame them. Have you joined the Edmonton Mopar Club? 71Duster 04-21-2008, 06:51 PM I've been a member for 2 years actully. I only made last years event at Castrol and the prior at Kingsway and came to the one that got rained out. Now that I've moved to Edmonton and have my car out and the new 340 in I should be around more often. bthieson 04-22-2008, 10:38 AM You were out to the Mopar Castrol event last summer? As was I! I believe I was the only gold colour Duster out there. I'm sure we will run into one another then. I'm a young punk(26), usually wearing a black ball cap backwards. The only machine shop I visited that was willing to work on somthing most shops have never heard. A budget. The engine runs great going to see them soon for some tuning help they have a 5 gas analyzer to put it on and really get it dialed in. demon seed 04-28-2008, 11:19 PM That's good to hear, sounds like you're out of the woods. Keith Mopar 08-26-2008, 10:54 AM Here is a pic for some motivation. The car is an original 340 3sp manual trans car, It's running a 4 sp in it now. It is an orignal green go (lime) car. When I got it, it was yellow and before that white. Dartnut 08-26-2008, 11:26 AM Well, I guess I might as well jump in here since it's a Alberta thing anyway, not just central. My avitar shows the '70 dart that I was driving at the time, sorry to say that I hit some black ice this winter and rolled it twice in the ditch @ 65 mph. I'm ok, and the car started and drove good until the cops stopped me in Taber! (120 miles from the accident) It didn't even blow off the full size dart hubcaps off the back! it had bbp bare ralleys on the front. The wheels did not bend at all and the tires didn't go flat. No leaks. This is a testiment to the strength of these dart 4 doors, it drove perfectly even though there was no windshild! I got stopped btw because I had no tail lights believe it or not! The fuse fell out! It was -18 c or 0 F. It was a 57,000 mile car orig paint and no rust. 318 auto. what a shame. I used the R.C.M.P. officer's cell phone to call a friend of mine and we loaded it up an trailered it back to Lethbridge that night. I have since transferred all of the engine and suspension into a '69 valiant 100 2 door post I had lying around, and it's almost ready to drive now. I had just converted the whole front end to bbp discs and rebuilt the whole susp. 3 months earlier. What a story eh? Maybe i'll post it with some pics... what do you guys think? Tom.:evil4: Keith Mopar 08-26-2008, 02:03 PM Sounds like you made a bad situation to a good one. Better load up some pics for us!!! Dartnut 08-28-2008, 09:44 AM Thanks, Keith. I will show some pics as soon as I can figure out how to load them. I have a lot of pics to go through and am still new at the picture thing. I'm also thinking of posting some pics of the project cars that I have for sale too. Alberta (find that one on the map!), living in Calgary but with a cabin on Gull Lake - in CENTRAL ALBERTA - so I count, right? Anyway, just wanted to bring to every Albertain's attention, Danny posted that he has a '72 Swinger 340 Special, although his is one of a possible 15 to 20 built for Pembina Dodge in Winnipeg, we had them here in Alberta too - from Crosstown motors in Edmonton. There were only 40 '71 Swinger 340 Specials built exclusively for Crosstown in 1971 and then a possible 50 '72's built for them in 1972 - period. They don't exist anywhere else and we've only been able to find 8 '71's and 7 '72's out of the possible 90 cars built, so there's gotta' be some still out there. Now, Ray, you say you've got "a '71 as well" in the 'quote' above. Is it one of these? Check for the LL23H1R (LL23H2R for '72's) in VIN - that goes for all you other A, B, C and E Body Albertain's out there, keep an eye out for one of these 'rare as hen's teeth' A-bodies. Post it here if you've heard of one, seen one, know of one or have one, OK. | |||
