How do I post photos

This is probably the most common question I get. So, instead of typing this twice a day every day, I thought it would be smart to type it once here for all to see. :thumleft:

There area actually several ways to post your photos here on LVC. But before that, see How to make my photos internet friendly (http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=3539)

Now that you have Internet friendly photos - here is what you can do with them here.

How to place a photo in a post.

Its actually very easy. When your making a post, this screen comes up:

The text of your message goes in the big box, and below you see the button labled "Click to Upload Photo" -- simply click that. This screen comes up:

Click the browse button and select the photo on your computer you want to post. Once you have selected the photo click upload, then close that box after it has uploaded. Your photo is posted. You can post additional photos by clicking browse again before closing the box.

See, Simple.

Guess I'll try this tool, Joey. Just downloaded Windows Power Toy Resizer. I may have to take new photos. These were before I had a digital 5 MP camera.

I do not get a button stating "upload photos". All I get is manage files, which tries to load my entire file! until I can get past this problem, I will be unable to load any pic's!

Programs
Accessories
Paint
File
Open (choose the file and then the photo. Click to load it on the paint screen)
Image
Stretch/skew (reduce to 30%x30%)
Save as: (I use what ever the photo name is and add 30% to the end. The reduced photo should be right next to the original in the same file so its easy to find)
If you have reduced photos that you use often you can create a new file and put all of the 30% photos in there.
Check out "Mopars on the Mississippi from yesterday. I downloaded some shots. Should be the last post. Good luck and welcome all!!!!!! toolmanmike

My car pictures are on photobucket. How do you attach a photo from Photobucket? There are four locations on each of my pictures. Which of the four locations do you copy and post into FABO? I have tried for two hours and all I get is "invalid file" or "image is too large".

Thanks toolmanmike,the paint program works great!I'm excited.I reduced a file size from 1.6mb down to just 53k and the res is still 615x461.Now I can put most any pic on here!Also should have no problem doin my avatar.

I don't have the 'upload photo' button. I see a button called 'manage attachments'. Anyone else running into this problem too, because my photos won't post with this option.

I would too!! Bought the 67 off ebay couple weeks ago, 273 factory 4bbl hipo that had been in storage since 1979. Had it sent directly to the guy that did paint and body on the 60. He said it was in remarkably good condition

Ok I resized the pic and uploaded it here but how do you make it smaller in the window like others do when they have it with each post?

Hey I have had the photo thing down for quite some time, but how do you post pics then text, pic, then text, so you can do a good write up and narrate pictures and process'????

When you have your photos posted on your reply you will see them listed in as . Above your first ATTACH type your info for that pic.

Use your enter key to move your next pic down and then type your info above that

Yeah I managed. I usually upload directly from my comp. Not a host site. I just up loaded to Photobucket then pasted the links in between the text.
