Irwindale Dragstrip break-in!

Tonight, well, and today, we'll be at the dragstrip, with the Alter-Dart. And I've asked a friend with a very cool lime green Dodge van to show. They are giving us the track for a period of time to shoot some stills and video. Stay tuned. Hopefully, I"ll have some track video for my A-body brutthas to groove on- - - - -. The FunnyCar Farmer's about to go out and plow through the field!!! Yee-Haw!!!

Well, I don't know how well I plowed the field! The shake down night went reasonably well. The video camera broke though. I'm really jones-ing on that!!:angry7: But the car left straight and hard, albeit very soggy on the bottom end, no doubt due to a freebie stock convertor that would not see a stall speed above 2,000rpm's. Time to step up to a 3500-4500 unit. The real beauty of the day was freeway driving it to the dragstrip, then jumping back on at the end of the night, with all the shoe polish, and lettering.
The car passed a rigorous tech inspection:-D for which I was very pleased. I had a good baseline test night. Now, its only going to get better.
