dome light

my freind has a 69 coronet ,and when you close the doors the dome light stays on.ive checked the buttons on the a pillar and they seem to be working ,i thought it maybe the dimmer/dome light switch not switching off ,,,anyone else had this problem on there car

my car did that when i got it so i just punched the dash an its been fine ever since!

dumb question is the headlight switch turned on try twisting it (just checking the obvious)

headlight switch is seperate to the dimmer dome light switch on a B body
