Cast or Forged?

My engine is a 383 made in 1969. Can someone tell me if the stock pistons were cast or forged. I wanna get into the 11's and am thinking about adding some juice.

If their stock they're cast.

That's what I was afraid of. I'm gonna try and track down the guy I bought the engine from and see if he ever changed the pistons. He used it as a back-up motor. Thanks. Dan.

It all is well inside you should be ok with up to 125 horse worth of nitrous with cast pistons.

125 hp shot should be no prob with 383 and cast pistons. make sure you have good fuel pressure though.
