Website photo question

Why is there no option to post a file (picture) from your computer's hard drive when writing text in the forums?

When you click on the "insert file" button, it asks only for a URL. Well, lots of pictures are not on a website, but they ARE on a hard drive. Why not a "browse" choice, so we can upload pictures from our hard drives that haven't been uploaded to a site on the internet yet?

Maybe I am missing something. Maybe it's already possible, and I just don't know how.

Can anybody explan this to me, please?

Bill, if you click on the "go advanced" button underneath the text area it will open a new area for responses and you can add attachments from there with the "browse" feature.

That's true Badawg, but only to communications on the forums - you can't add photos to PM's. One of the administrators told me the software won't allow it for some reason.

I don't use PM's anyway. I was jusr wondeing how to get photos onto forum messages.
