Hello everyone. I recently purchased a 64 valiant (Canadian built,
which means it's a Dart with a valiant front clip) I also have a 74
Duster parts car, that will be donating its disk brakes, 8.25
rearend, 318 and 3speed.

Now, my question is, will the torsion bars on the duster fit the
valiant? Also, are the leaf springs the duster the same length as
the ones on the valiant?

I don't have either car at my place currently, so I am trying to
aquire as much infomation as I can before I strip the duster and get
rid of whats left.

Any info will be appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome to the board. Grab a beer and a wrench and "Let's get er done."
Bars will fit, if the Duster had air you might get the 892 and 893 bars.
Have fun with it. Ray

Are the numbers stamped on the T-bars? or how do you find out what you have?

There should be some numbers under the dirt, goop, and undercoating. Look at the end of the bar where it mounts in the cross member by eng/trans. Even number (892) goes on right side. Odd number (893) goes on left side. You might even find some paint daubs on them. Blue paint for 892/893, one daub on the right, two on the left.
Be careful taking them out, don't scratch or gouge them. Good luck. Ray
