I have a friend in Austin, and another in Dripping Springs. Both are getting snow. BOTH guys said it was 80º earlier in the day too!

We have our first forecast for snow starting tomorrow, we don't usually get a lot but we do get a dump or two most years.

This is from a couple years ago, looking out from my living room window, my Chebby wasn't very happy :-D

That has got to be something you don't see every year.
Thanks for the update.

We some times don't get snow, and it seems like when we do it bad.
But I have seen years with no snow at all.
Here is a picture of one of two snow days last year.

I live about an hour east of Baton Rouge. My car had 3 1/2 inches on it. I have never seen this much snow in Louisiana. This area had some flurries in 2005 and last measurable snow here in 1989. Today's accumulation was really beautiful. After scooping it off my windshield to go to the bank, I can do without it. Too cold and messy. Bring back global warming.

I just finished blowing off 6" of the white crap off everything and it's supposed to get down to -28C (-20F) tonight. I hate F**king winter with a passion. I think it's time to move Costa Rica. This shits coming up from Idaho, I used to like Idaho but now I don't know.

I've been a cement-head New Englander my whole life but yesterday we got turbo-dopesmacked by the worst ice storm I have ever seen. I'd say it was even worse than the big one of '98. I'm posting this from my work PC as I doubt we will have power back at my place in New Hampshire for some time. The damage to the trees, and by extension, the power lines is severe. Forcasts expect a low temp around the 0 mark tonight if that was not enough. And it is not techically "winter" yet. If anyone sees Al Gore please hand him a shovel.

Gotta go get more gas for the gennie.... -LY

We ended up with about 8" of snow in my town. I've never seen this much here, and I hope I don't see it for another 58 years! A couple of pictures, taken late that afternoon after the snow started to melt.
