Please Help

I have a 360 duster with A833 4 speed tranny, last night while driving tranny got stuck in 4th gear. I went under car and tried to move shift lever but it wont budge. Any ideas on the problem and what the fix is? Clips are all in place and rods are not bent. Thanks

Does the car move or is it hung up between two gears?

Also is/was your shifter any good or did it have problems?

You said you tried to move the shifter. Did you try to move the linkage rods
and levers also?

the car moves its stuck in fourth . shifter is hurst comp shifter. works fine

Try moving the lever when the clutch is depressed by a helper. (I'm local :thumbrig: )

Tried that, no go. Im thinkin its a fork that stuck or somethin. what town you in rumble?

I think your shifter is trying to move two plate at the same time. There is a place under the shifter to slide a 1/4" bolt trough the shifter body (across) and in the center of the plates (through hole) that your linkage are attach to. That is where your shifter is in neutral then make sure that the transmission is in neutral if not you lenghten or shorten the rod. First I would check to see if the linkage at the transmission are thigh. That is probably your problem. If you need more help just ask.
