Think my clutch is toast. I gave it a flick, and it went around about 1 full revolution. I thought it should only move 3 or 4 fan blades. Does it matter if it's checked hot or cold?
Would a flex fan be a good replacement for it or would a clutch cool better at idle?
Thanks

If it's not leaking and you don't have overheating problems I would say it's just fine.

A fan clutch doesn't have to be leaking to be bad. The true test is the rotation test, and the wobble test. If it rotates more than 1-2 blades... it's bad. If there is any top to bottom wobble... it's bad.

wobbles its bad but the 1-2 blade thing is relative to temperature and I have seen many a difference between manufacturersso I would say that if you give it a spin and it doesn't go more than 1 revolution and your not running hot your ok at this time but just keep an eye on it
