Sitting 20+ years

I have an 833 that has sat for over 20 years. I`ve had two people say that I should have the bearings replaced in it. Have`nt they been sitting in oil. What gives?

20 years is some time sitting, It sucks to put something in just to find out you have to pull it again. (I've had many problems) with trying short cuts and learned to do it right the first time. Not rebuilding or bench testing has had me having to pay out more in the long run. Of course this is just my input :?:
