Suregrip391 10-22-2005, 07:19 PM Anyone running these on the back of there 1967 Barracuda? I just ordered a set from Summit (Clearance sale!!!!!!!!) $127.00 each! I am hoping to fit P255/60/15 tires (BF Goodrich radial T/A's). I hope they fit! Im running super stock springs. What do you think? WIll I have any clearance issues?
terry 10-22-2005, 09:05 PM wow, for that price if there were a problem i'm sure just using the offset l shackle kit will do the trick.

Suregrip391 10-22-2005, 09:49 PM Yeah! What a deal! they were $160 something last week. When I logged on Friday they were $127. I called and they had 4 on the shelf. I ordered Two for the rear. If they dont fit, I can always sell them. Its a risk but not an expensive one!.....I also ordered two of the 15x7's for the front at "normal" price. No clearance on them...*sigh* Ill post and let everyone know how they fit once I get them. There always seems to be tire/wheel questions people need answered. I'll be the test dummy!..lol
Suregrip391 11-07-2005, 07:47 PM Ok, here's the deal, there seems to be alot of talk about what fits the 1967-1969 Barracuda as far as wheels and tires go. On my 1967, I bought a pair of 15x8 crager SS wheels from summit and installed a set of P255/60/15 BF goodrich tires. The wheels are 4.250 backspace off the shelf. No custom offset here!. They fit great!
Now on the front, I went with a set of the Same, Crager SS wheels. They are 15x7 with an offset of 4.125 off the shelf. I tried to run a set of P235/60/15 but they were way to wide/tall and hit the fender on a turn. I had to take some careful measurments and found that a P215/60/15 was the largest I could fit. So be it and it works!
Hope this helps, Any questions or if you need pics...I have them. Thanks all!
Aaron
OldVart 11-07-2005, 08:45 PM Do you still have the small bolt pattern or have you switched over to the 5 x 4.5? And OF COURSE we want pics!! :)
Suregrip391 11-08-2005, 05:21 AM I am still running the small bolt pattern, I tried to post some pics but it would not let me for some reason. Is it possible to post a pic within a post?
freshayr 12-14-2005, 12:49 PM i just brought home my new wheels and tires. I went with the keystone Klassics because I love the black insert with my black car. Anyways, I have a 15x8 with 3 7/8 backspace for the rear. I have a 255/60r15 on it. The fronts are 15x6 with I think 3 1/8 backspace. Got a 215/60r15 there. I just set them next to the car at noon and I'll be surprised if I can get that 255 under there.....that's a big tire! BTW....4 1/2 inch bolt pattern
OldVart 12-14-2005, 02:24 PM Yup, you can submit a pic within a post. Go to "Advance" reply, then scroll down to "Manage Attachments", find and upload your photo, then submit reply. That should work for you.
freshayr 12-14-2005, 04:49 PM the 215/60r15 are not going to work on the fronts. they hit the front of the fender. man...seems like a 25" diameter tire should work there.

kennyscuda 02-19-2007, 05:53 PM What happens when you go from 14 inch to 15 inch rims. Does it mess up your speedometer?
AdamR 02-19-2007, 05:57 PM Its not rim diameter its tire diameter that will mess up the speedometer.

kennyscuda 02-19-2007, 06:03 PM Ok So if we stay with same tire height is what we want, right?
kennyscuda 02-19-2007, 06:15 PM Thanks Adam I get it now.thanks Ken
AdamR 02-19-2007, 06:32 PM Ok So if we stay with same tire height is what we want, right?
Correct. But remember that a 215-60-14 and a 215-60-15 wont be the same height.
leblanc 02-21-2007, 06:31 PM I am looking for rims for my dart sport; 15 x 7 /4.5 bolt pattern. Where can a Canadian like me (Dieppe N.B.) get some without having to pay an arm and a leg?
