how collectable is a 318 Dart

Ok how collectable is my 68 dart 270, 318, 904 and ac?? I have decided ti foget the BB duster program because I got screwed and it has taken the wind out of my sails. I talked to a buddy and told him the deal and that I decided just to rebuild the 318 in the dart. Nothing crazy just a standard flattop piston , new bearings and a mild street cam on cast iron 4 barrel intake. No major mods.

He had a cow. orginal 81,000 miles BLA , bla, bla. he says he knows where there is a 70something cordoba 360 and 727 running for 3 or 4 hundred bucks. wanst me to buy the car part out the drive train build the 360 and moth ball the 318 and 904 so iit can still be all orginal.


Does it really make a damn bit of differance. Is this 318 gonna bring big dollars?? should I buy the 360 freshen it and moth ball the 318.

Now remeber I dont need to hotrod this thing. My duster is running hard and pulling fine for a street strip car. I want to keep the highway gears in this thing. i rolled the duster to the frame shop today and thsoe 3:91 gears HMMed all the way.

I just want to have little power to play with and If i need muscle I can always go to the house and drag out the brute.

so do I keep the 318 in mothballs or build it.???

Its collectable just for the fact that its all original. The 360 would be nice to have in it for the extra cubes and torque. If its a late 70s Cordoba it might have the 998/999 trans in it. If you do decide to go the Cordoba route, I'll kick in some $$$ for the front spindles :wink:
