FABO Upgraded

Hi Folks -

I have upgraded the server FABO runs on and also upgraded the software and all of the mods on the forum such as the Photo Gallery and the Chat Room. You can also post the urls of videos from YouTube and many other sites such as Break.com and about 100 other websites.

Please let me know if you find anything not working or out of place.

I do have one problem with it though, strictly personal. My subtitle of Mistress of Metal is now back to saying "FABO Vendor" again -- a bit redundant in light of the big green vendor banner -- and I can't find the place in the User CP to fix it. Rob did it for me before just a few days ago, so I guess I'll have to sweet talk him. LOL

I have been getting a new window from what you call friend requests :smilebox: and I was a bit confused and hope that I did it right :-k

Site isnt same as before. Now I find myself having to log in several times a day. Its as though you have a time out feature. I cleared cookies and history and checked my security. It has got to be with the site as it started when you changed things. May just be something i have to deal with but its a pain.

Normally, I would agree with you. But I'm not having this problem at all myself. I havent had to re-login since I did the upgrade.

But im still looking into it to see if it s on our end.

Try logging out using the Log Out button I added to the nav bar and then siging in again.

You cant, I had to do it special for you.

Joey.....thought I would give you a heads up on a couple of things....earlier tonight about 4 of us were in chat and when we would type something out and click send....it would send a blank message instead of what we typed......after 3 or 4 attempts we would finally get it to send our message but it did it multiple times within an hour time frame.

also, I was in chat and I copied text from the chat and pasted it in the text entry area and when I clicked send..... it converted what I copied and pasted into chinese lettering with a bunch of question marks.....? LOL? odd yes I know....I just wanted to give you a heads up and let you know a couple quirks I found

Chat has always been a bit quirky. We were in chat last night for several hours with zero issues. It is just a bit wierd for some reason.

I tried to get in the chat for awhile last night (uhhhh maybe it was early this morning lol) ... page seemed to load, sounds seemed to load, but nothing would happen. I'm sure you'll get it all figured out.

I'm just glad to be The Mistress of Metal again. :-D

Joey, I am having compatability issues with adding photo bucket photos to fabo ....I am thinking it has something to do with fabo's new software maybe?

I had no problem adding photos this way for the longest time but for some reason now I will not work and I have to manually go in and edit the image code for each picture to get the pictures to finally work.

I don't know if this is a fabo issue or a photobucket issue? do you have any clue?

It works if you Use the DIRECT LINK option on photobucket and put it into the Image URL box you get when you click the little pic icon http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/images/editor/insertimage.gif

It has to do with the mod we have to display videos from photobucket becing in conflict. I'll have to work on this more.

I am having problems posting pics from Photobucket so I will have to try what you mentioned Joey.

Photobucket pics "should" be ok now..

The photobucket problem was on Photobuckets end not this site, I was having the same problem on several sites and I figured out that they had two links tied together, you just have to remove the first half up to the [img] code and the [url] at the end and they work fine.

Oh....another member mentioned it was doing it on different forums too so I figured it was a problem with photobucket.

It was doing two things. First, on our end, photobucket phots were conflicting with photobucket videos. Then - photobucket's suggested links are terrible. So it was 2 problems on top of each other.
