Brett, do you have an MSD ignition? The tech at Summit said it would not work well with MSD ignitions.????????????? :?

If the timing lite from summit doesn't work for you, try the digital lite from Snap-on. It will be a little more expensive, but works very well with MSD boxes. I use it on supercharged vehicles when people bring their rides by me to work on. It does just about everything for you except turn the distributor. :thumrigh:

SNAP-ON  out of my budget. $250-450.

I have a crane ignition with MSD dist. ZEATER has the same light with MSD ignition and it works perfect. Why wouldn't it?? I think you got some bad advice.

The advice came from a Summit racing catalog tech who put me on hold for 5 minutes talked to his supervisor who called a msd tech. Thats what he told me. If it was true why wouldn't it say so it the install instructions? Just confused. If so mant people are useing the advance light with msd without any problems, I don't think I'll worry about it too much.
Thank you all for your input. :salut:

Because MSD ignition boxes emit multiple capacitive discharges, some timing lights have trouble picking up accurate signals. If you want to be certain of a correct reading, get a digital timing light as MSD recommends.
