Big Bolt Small Bolt Pattern?

I'm pretty sure that big bolt is 5x4.5 and small bolt is 5x4 but how do you measure it out so that you know what you got?

measure from the center of one wheel stud then two wheel studs over measure to the outside of the other stud
look at the pic closely for the gray line

Tire rack, shows you how to measure it. Sombody just posted an excellent place to check, but I couln't find it. So this is second best.
