machineing required for these seals?

I just got my springs, locks, retainers, and valve stem seals in today, and i was wondering if the seals that i have will require any machining.

They are the sealed power seals with the two metal bands on them. My dad said that i just needed regular "umbrela" seals and that these might require machining to fit on my 318 heads. Anyone know if im going to have to order new seals before i do this?

They require machining...

If you have the positive valve stem seal type, then yes the top of the guides will need machining. The umbrella type do not.
