MATS 2012 sneek peek

-
Hey, i saw some of these cars via the live stream at 1320.com - very nice, wish i could have been there.

The silver 1967 Valiant - is this Ron Silva with the 501 cui SB? Any ET´s for this one?

Thanks for sharing!

Michael

Yes thats Rons old Valiant. He sold it with the MP crate motor. Looks like it was running 11.30

Thank you for sharing some great pictures my Hawaiian friend
Wow :glasses7: this event is on my bucket list and just look at all the great members rides :blob::D:cheers:

I spent my Friday at super chebby shoot out at Memphis Motor sports park that has reopened :thumblef:
It was just an hour away

Subscribed to this thread for sure :burnout:

Great pics as always, Craig! I've got some "from the stands" shots I'll try and post tonight - but certainly not like your "on the track" vantage point. I'm jealous!
Great seeing you again this weekend and, again, thanks for all your assistance on Saturday night.

Congrats to a couple of our very own FABO members for winning awards in the car show......even though one of you did it with a b-body we're still proud of you :D

If you can make it out next year, let me know and I'll get your passes taken cared of.

Next year you can come with me and take some shots next to me.

So what was the issue with the driveshaft? What do we need to do to "not be that guy"?

Nice pics. Wish I was there. Mopars greatly under represented here in my area.

HawaiiDuster, Great job on the photos, Might have to hit you up for some comp passes so I could get in next year(har, har,).Seriously, love your work.

Just got home, long drive back to Spokane. Got to meet Cheryl, finally. Very nice Lady, wish I could have made it back on Sunday but did not get out of the Hotel until 11 or so. I thought I was attending a MOPAR event, what was with the Mustang and Chebbies that were there on Saturday?? Somebody forget to tell the organizers that they they are not MOPARS?? Was kind of disappointed when they pulled the plug on Saturday.....weather was pretty weird.....

The wife and I made it home safely to sunny Glendale. I hope everyone had an un-eventfull trip like we did. No breakage & only 1 quart of oil for the whole weekend! I'm sorry I didn't get to meet all the FABO members like I wanted to, We probably shouldve put the beer down earlier each night and got up before noon each day? :drunken: It was nice to meet Cheryl & Bob...Hope to see you again soon. Helluva weekend!!

Started late this afternoon working on getting engine/trans out...probably have it out tomorrow..going to driveshaft shop tomorrow also...dont know if it will be done by this weekend...since i am going to miss most of the points season here in vegas anyway.

Thanks for all the pics of my friends they look great! Just to let everyone know...

The orange challanger took first place in Super Pro and the Blue duster with the white top and strip took first in the pro class! The other guys made it to the 3rd round X2 and the 2nd round.
The green and grey hemi barracuda was its very first race ever... ran 10.25 consistantly at 1/3 throttle. Adjusted to almost half throttle and let off still running a 9.75! opps so went back to the pits, got a finger wagging and readusted for the next run.

That was Tanner, his Dad Herb runs the orange and black 69 Dart. (yes Herb is the same Herb that helped me do my car) We affectionately call him the DODGEFATHER lol. I even got a sticker made up for the trunk of his car with that on it.

I did run across this nice Demon :D

Thanks so much for taking some pics on Sat. for me. I know how busy you are at the event and really appreciate it :thumblef:

I missed seeing Bob Riggle make his run on Sunday....dang it :violent1:. I know he was in lane to make a pass on Saturday, but it didn't happen. What an awesome pic you took :salut:

Sure would like some good pictures of the white 69 Dart with red stripe

Thanks for all the pictures

This is supposedly the only 68 SS Hemi Dart thats been kept in the original condition. Its never had a rollcage in it or any mods done to it.

I took a pic of this Hemi Dart too, but didn't post it because it was crappy. My timing was off a bit while it was moving..... Oh well, here it is

Do you have any pics of what car won the A-Body stock class? We spent some time with the couple from Canada with the EV2 71 Demon and was wondering if it won anything?
