Since I am having difficulties finding the 195 70r14 tire I thought that maybe I might research a 15" wheel.
If I get a tire say 195 60r15 that is 24.21" in diameter will going to the bigger wheel present unknown issues that might arise?
Also it looks like the back space is 3 1/2" or 4" stock can someone verify?
Thanks for all the patience folks.

15" wheel will work fine with that tire. Problem will be finding a 15" wheel with small bolt pattern. They are available by vintage wheel and stockton wheel. However I don't think the factory made any 15" small bolt pattern wheels.

I don't know the factory backspacing as it depends on the wheel and width but it was probably close to 3.5" +/- a quarter inch

I believe that the factory backspacing was 3.375" but I have a 66 dart and run a 15x7 on back and 14x7 up front with the 4.125 backspace and they fit great. I also use a P235/60R15 for back and a P215/60R14 for front with no rubbing problems. I am actually selling my rallys that are only about a year and a half old and look great because i just got cragars. let me know if you are interested. Hope I helped. -Kory

To be clear I do have the BBP, I recently converted to the 5x4.5 discs on the front and am currently replacing the stock SBP rear end with a BBP 7 1/4" with 10" drums from a 73 Dart.
I currently have the BBP 14" rallye wheels but am trying to decide whether to use them or go to a 15" wheel and tire.
Dang, it used to be so easy, but some 45+ years have just kinda slipped behind me and dang if I can remember where I put them all!
I know I could trim the fender where it is rubbing with the 215/70/14s but just dont want to do that unless I am trapped.
Thanks to all and I appreciate any more suggestions.

Plug your tire size into the fields on this page. Very helpful. Backspace is different according to width for factory wheels. I've got 195/60R15s on the front of my 64 Barracuda with the 73 up disc brakes. The wheels are 15X6 with 3-1/2 backspace and they work nicely. You've got a fair amount of room to play with in back so if you keep the diameter near stock your speedometer will remain fairly accurate.

I have 15x7 cop car wheels on the front and rear of my 65 dart with 205/50-15 on front and 235/60-15 on the rear with offset spring hangers. No rubbing in the front, could go one size taller in the front with out any problem. I had 255/60-15 on the rear, but they rub some.
