I looked through past threads and nothing really stood out to what I wanted.

I am having a stroker small block built for my dart based off a 360 block.

I am looking for a combination that can run on pump gas and stock block.

I've seen plenty on r3 blocks ect but not many on stock blocks.

I am looking for 600+hp

I realize I can't get that from 408 stroker but I'm just starting this thread to see if it can be done.. How big can I go on a stock block? Thanks a lot

Call Mike at Mrl he is a sponsor here and regularly builds 600hp strokers or you can also call Brian at IMM on the west coast ,I haven't heard of any that stout from him but I bet he knows how to build you one .Both these guys are 1st rate , Brian built my 410 ,it's only in the 520/520 range but we didn't go full port on the heads .

We have a local builder here do it.. He can do the short block for me at first and we will work together at a slower rate for my budget.. When I get a nice steady job, Brian will be the first I call, I have heard nothing but great things!

You will be surprised just how reasonably priced these guys are ,not bowtie cheap but hey who wants a bowtie-except maybe PeeWee Herman

How much does the car weigh? Race gas I assume

a well build 408 should be able to do it....there are better heads that make more HP then the eddy heads....

Brian at IMM Engines just told me he is building a 408 Stroker based off a 360 Stock block, using Indy's TA head which is the old IndyBrock head...with his own porting, TD rockers and a super victor intake. Pretty sure it will have a big solid roller. He said they have upgrades like 5/16 valve stems and they use BB Mopar rockers with a 1.7 ratio. He says there is less drag on the valve with the longer rocker. He was saying 600+ HP, so there you go!

I have heard that.. People like the steel heads that Indy has.. Does b1 offer heads? We are just used to eddys

Indy aluminium heads will make more power then the Indy cast iron X heads

Even a well ported w2 head will get the job done...

More stroke will need more head to tap into all of its power capabilities. The 4.25 BPE Crank will make 440 Cubes..... INDY 360-1's on the menu, W9's? Or the Ghost New "Victor Eddy Heads that will never hit the market?
