In the article it explained the timeline of the poly, max wedge, and hemi. You could do the whole thing in lathe and plaster.
The lath isn't too bad, even on the cieling. Wet plastering the cieling, only easier paying the plaster to do it - he makes it look easy. if you've tried it, you know it aint!
