What options are REQUIRED for your daily driver.
What can you not live without?

Do these requirements change if you were driving a A body on daily basis?

EDIT Added more questions:
If there was an A body that was designed to be a daily driver, would you drive it, and would you pay for it?

Chevy has Camaro and Firebird. Ford has Mustang. What if us Mopar guys had an A body with a Magnum motor, overdrive, ac, power steering and brakes, with stereo and sound deadening?

Standard tranny, cruise control, decent cd player, AC

I wouldn't end up driving my A Body daily, as I do about 35-40k miles a year and wouldn't want to beat the crap out of the A Body that way.

Radio, wheels and tires. And a smooth running motor.
But I drive 150 a day for work so I would not drive it to work daily ALthough I have a few times. But all my running around the house for sure.

You drive 150 a day in a Power Wagon with 35's? Geez.

Windshield wipers.

Number 1 for me is good brakes
2 is good tires
3 is wipers.
There was a time when I couldn't drive without a girl under each arm.
My how our priorities change.

A comfortable drivers seat. The older I get the more important that is. Especially
with a 4 speed in stop and go traffic. New seat foam when I put Legendary covers on helped a bunch. toolmanmike

Loaded with leather seats that are heated (a basic requirement up here) and able to cruise all day long at 120 km/hr (80 m/hr). Oh yea and 2 doors, I like a big assed opening to get my big *** into.:iconbigg::iconbigg:

To be a true daily driver in New England ? It would need to be 4 wheel drive.

A/C Cruise, Tilt, Buckets/console, Power steering/brakes,Manual Transmission,Tinted windows,Remote start,outside temp w/compass,Limited slip diff,lowerd,front/rear sway bars,quick ratio steering box, Alpine cd/mp3/ipod/sirius sattelite,10" Subwoofer,tonneau cover.
Well I guess all this doesn't have to be REQUIRED, but it sure makes long commutes nicer.
Oh Yeah, my 2 other daily drivers are 4 X 4's for our frozen tundra up here.......

charged battery and air in the tires. I dont give a crap about my dd its my weekend warrior i,m worried about.

Would it need to be 4 wheel discs, or stock disc and drum?
On tires, are you talking 15" with BFG Radial TA or 17" with directional HP like Camaro and Mustang?

How about a remote start instead of heated leather seats?

one funny phrase i have heard about cars is luxury= lazy LOL...if grandma could live with it in the 50's and drive fine, how come people need all the gizmos today and drive like crap?

for me for a daily it would have to have heat (A/C is windows down), windshield wipers, cd player, disc brakes, comfortable driving position and thats probably about it...i guess im into radical daily drivers (actually, all of my daily drivers up until now that is al they had- no a/c, no power steering, engines that stalled up to the max for various reasons, seats that were stuck in permamnent reclining positions so i drove like a gangster through no choice of my own...and quite a few more LOL)

good brakes, decent tires, & a tape deck (because cd players dont fit without cutting up the dash on old a-bodies)
