Finally the windshield is mounted with a new gasket. Turned out great with polished stainless steel mouldings. Still looking for following parts; - hood ornament - right front arrow - convertinle switch - gear selector wire.

The centers a casted in aluminium. But due to the welding process there is one steel plate casted in each spoke so you can weld the center section to the rim.

I grind off the welds and push out the center piece. Then send the rims to a chrome shop to get them re-chromed. In the meantime I polish the center section to mirror shine. Next step is to push in the center piece in the exact same spot in the re-chromed rim. Next step is to grind off some...

Last night it was time to mount the tinted windshield. With a new kind of locking strip. Turned out just fine on the fourth try! Dang! I thought the stance was not ok so I adjusted it with factory specs. Looking for a convertible top switch for a A-body 1963 to 1964.

Today it was time to repaint the roof. The Star Wars guy showed up with the paint gun!

Finally the 318 is mounted in the engine compartment. It's always a hassle dropping an engine from above. But no scraches were made.
