Except that they are not! I installed headrests into my original, non-headrest seats WITHOUT ANY MODIFICATIONS, other than installing the headrest attachment kit.

@64Dart Disagree... just did this on my '67 and the holes are there in non headrest seats. If you get '67 headrests (1 year only) you can buy the install kit from Classic Ind.

If the OP would post the 1st 5 digits of the VIN from the plate on the A pillar, we could tell the original engine.
Yes...mid-year '67 the GTS was introduced...that's the basis of Mr Norm's "story" about putting a 383 in an A body (which had already been done earlier by Chrysler in the Barracuda)
Someone earlier in the thread mentioned the GTS Registry, which this wouldn't qualify for as it's probably a GT...
