    Coil - resistor compatibility question.

It has to do with windings configurations. According to Pertronix, the coils were available in either a 1.5 or 3.0 to suit either BP distributors or HEI. I order the 1.5 when still running the stock distributor, until the bushings/bearing started letting the internals flop around like a decked...

He leans towards running the resister regardless. Not much more info from him.

    Coil - resistor compatibility question.

Hey group. I have researched the information I'm looking for and haven't had much luck finding and answer. My scenario is as follows; I purchased an electronic ignition on (God forbid) Ebay from a seller that calls himself mopar_rick. Seemed to know his set up in a email exchange. The text that...

    Moog camber kit junk?

IMO not worth reusing. The parts store ordered the replacement parts. Should be here today. No particular hurry to get the job done. If I was in a bind, I could see your suggestion being beneficial. I would rather start fresh for peace of mind.

    Moog camber kit junk?

Pretty much what has occurred on mine. No rhyme or reason from what I can see. The auto parts store made good on them, this set seems to be OK. I'm moving forward.

    Moog camber kit junk?

When I removed the bolts, positioned the washer plates to where they should be seated on the shoulder of the bolt, they are 5/16 of an inch too narrow. Simply put, they are too short to work properly. In tightening them to be snug, it actually bent the eccentric when they pulled in. Simply...

    Moog camber kit junk?

No, no damage from cutting the old ones out. Retired steel worker here. I've got a handle on a cutting rig. But I will say this. The Moog bolts are too short. After removing them today, I see that the eccentric washer never made it to the actual shoulder of the bolt itself. It spun on the...

    Moog camber kit junk?

Hi folks. This is a pretty straight forward question with related back ground. I recently decided to do the front disc brake upgrade on my 67 Cuda. I received the brake kit with the purchase of the car. Unknown supplier, but the calipers have Penstar castings on them. Most likely aftermarket...

Throwing my hat into the ring.

That's always good information. I suppose after setting up something that resembles an alignment, maybe just bedding the pads and shoes will make a difference. Back to the old string alignment. Thanks.

Great idea. Yes, it is nice to have something to take the mind off of the rest of the worlds problems.

Throwing my hat into the ring.

Just a few changes of late. Had the car dualed out. Made an attempt at replacing seat foam in the drivers seat. I was sitting on the springs. I will turn it and the other seat over to a professional when I deal with the seat covers. I tackled the disc brake upgrade, although I still have to deal...

    Stock .318 upgrade!

My heart sank today when, in the course of mapping out changing motor mounts, I was able to clean the area that has the production date cast onto it for my supposed "68" 318 as was described by the seller. 1-10-73 is just a bit off from 1968. There goes my extra compression point. I suppose with...
